EXPLORING UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN

“Looking at all the details and buildings, it felt like we have entered the wizarding world of Harry Potter just like the movies. The village, the magnificent Hogwarts Castle, the train, and everything looks even magical during the night!”

During this trip to Osaka, I’ve finally got my longtime bucket list checked and visited one of the most popular theme park in Japan ! During the time we were here, the Japanese were having public holiday on that day, so it got crowded real quick between the locals and us tourist. The lines from everything from entrance to rides were pretty darn long.

WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER

I’ve been a fan of Harry Potter for years ever since I read the first book many years ago. So you can imagine I was super exciting to head on over to Wizarding World of Harry Potter! And of course, The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is one of my favourite ride during this trip. This indoor ride is so much cooler than the other indoor rides I’ve ever tried ! The experience was surreal and the 3D effects felt more seamless compare to the transformer ride in Universal Studio’s Singapore. There is no need to equip 3D glasses during the ride too!

Looking at all the details and buildings, it felt like we have entered the wizarding world of Harry Potter just like the movies. The village, the magnificent Hogwarts Castle, the train, and everything looks even magical during the night!

MINION PARK

Headed to Minion Park, our first ride was Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. The experience was quite fun and entertaining where we got recruited as an actual minion in Gru’s laboratory. The downside of this ride is that we had to queue for over an hour and it somehow make all of us kinda bored while waiting.

Now that I think of it, I wish I lined up for the Flying Dinosaur ride instead. I feel kinda sad that I didn’t get to ride some of the major attractions during my visit too as the lines are more than 2 hours I just don’t enjoy lining up for so long… However I would come back one day on a normal day just to ride all of the attractions I didn’t get to!

WALKING AROUND USJ

Other than the rides, Is spent a few hours just strolling around, people watching and taking pictures of the surrounding. I notice most of the visitors especially Japanese were wearing this cute ornaments like the snoopy and the dinosaur shaped headbands. They have a wide variety of selection for the head bands in USJ !

Also, we had some turkey and minion bun! These minion buns are actually one of the popular picks among tourist because of it’s overloading cuteness!
